CREATIVE CHINA AT BEYOND 2020

Featured for the first time as part of BEYOND, the Creative China programme included conference sessions and a showcase of work being led by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, to explore research and industry partnerships between the creative industries in the UK and China. Sessions explored Shaun the Sheep in Shanghai, how to Create Shared Experiences for Multicultural Audiences with speakers from the Science MuseumAardman, the Shanghai Theatre CompanyHTC amongst many others.

BEYOND 2020 DAY 1

BEYOND 2020 DAY 2

Day two at BEYOND looked at the theme of Convergence, the disruption that is already happening in the Creative Industries, the genres and disciplines converging to produce new types of experiences and the opportunities they present for audiences, creators, technologists and researchers. Sessions from the day explored the future of virtual production with Rebellion Games and Hazfilm Ltd, a deep-dive into Current, Rising from the Royal Opera House and Figment Productions and so many more insightful sessions, available to watch at your leisure below.

BEYOND 2020 DAY 3

Based on the theme of Emergence, the third day of BEYOND 2020 explored what comes next, opportunities and ensuring the future creative industries is robust, inclusive and diverse. More exciting sessions, deep-dives, breakout discussions and live Q&A, included a very thought-provoking dive into the Metaverse with keynote Brenda Romero. The schedule also included a journey through Tech for Good with Deepa Mann-Kler, a panel session that looked at how the industry can Build Back Better with Blue Moon, Terra Virtua & more. Plus, delegates explored the extraordinarily beautiful Framerate from ScanLAB Projects.

Creative China Day 1
