World in a Cell is a research project by the USC World Building Media Lab in partnership with the USC Bridge Institute, driven by an interdisciplinary team of artscientists whose aim is to build a robust new language for cellular biology that will transcend previous visual systems. Alongside developing a universal modular architecture for the constituents of the Pancreatic Beta Cell, it has established artscience as a unique discipline for the work. Artscience is not Art + Science. Artscience is Art = Science.
