Speaker Biography
Rob Morgan is a writer, experience designer, digital dramaturg, and Creative Director of immersive XR studio Playlines. Rob writes and narrative-designs award-winning AR & VR experiences, and has helped create story worlds and immersive experiences for some of the world’s largest licenses, attractions and cultural institutions. He is a pioneer of Mixed Reality theatre, and has collaborated on some of the most critically-acclaimed games in VR and interactive narrative.
Rob wrote and voice-directed ‘A Fisherman’s Tale’ (Game of the Year, VR Awards ‘19), co-wrote with J.K. Rowling the platinum-selling 2013 PlayStation3 AR game ‘Wonderbook: Book of Spells’ and sequel ‘Book of Potions’, and was Content Editor of the multi-award-winning ‘80 Days’ (TIME’s Game of the Year ‘15).
As head of Playlines, Rob recently launched the ‘Augmented Gallery’, a major covid-safe arts installation for London’s West End, in partnership with the National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Royal Academy and Sky Arts.
