Interactive Storytelling for Virtual Reality Medium by Real Walking Inside Virtual Story World

In this project, a new approach was examined to create an agency for audiences to manipulate the storylines and walk freely inside the story-world to create a unique experience based on their spatial-temporal coordination.
Regarding the medium of storytelling, virtual reality (VR) creates a general problem for audiences: disorientation. It renders VR users incapable of enduring the virtual environment for an extensive period. Therefore, the project’s approach is to enhance the audience’s experience by designing a suitable narrative structure that causes reduction of motion sickness through emotional engagement with the story and effective interaction with the environment.
