Richard Naylor is Director of Research at BOP Consulting. His work has broken fresh intellectual ground in fields such as the development of frameworks for measuring the economic and social impacts of cultural activities.

Richard has 20+ years of applied research and consultancy in both the private sector and academia. He leads BOP’s research and evaluation work, with particular expertise in social and economic impact; project and programme evaluation; creative industries mapping and cultural statistics; business support and skills development; urban and regional development, intellectual property, innovation and organisational change.

Richard’s projects include a comparative study of online copyright enforcement for the UK’s Intellectual Property Office; the evaluation of the £13m 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games Cultural programme; a creative industries mapping and knowledge exchange programme for Peru; and the evaluation of the £68m Catalyst programme for Arts Council England.
