Gee is Head of Legal & Business Affairs for The Association of Independent Music (AIM), having joined in 2017 following eight years with prestigious independent music businesses, Cooking Vinyl, Essential Music & Marketing and FatCat Records.

Gee has a broad view of the industry, having handled in-house legal and business affairs aspects of record label, publishing, label services and distribution activity for offices in the UK, US, Australia, France and Germany and with artists as diverse as The Prodigy, Billy Bragg, Underworld, Amanda Palmer, The Wedding Present and Honeyblood.

Gee originally started out in technology, receiving a Master’s Degree in Engineering and working briefly in the Telecoms sector before following her passion into the music industry and then into music law. Gee is passionate about facilitating the independent music industry’s continued innovation and success, and supporting its evolution, in the digital age.
