Matthew Smith is a Senior Lecturer in Public Humanities in the School of Humanities at Royal Holloway, University of London. His research interests revolve around democratic heritage, the history of rights and representation, public history and the digital futures of public engagement for the heritage sector. Matthew regularly works with external heritage sector partners, including most recently the UK Parliament, People’s History Museum, the History of Parliament Trust and The National Archives, collaborating on exhibitions and educational resources.
