Clare Campbell started Prickly Thistle in 2015. Within 5 years, working from a shed in her garden and designing tartans with no previous experience, she now has established the first sustainable textiles centric brand and weaving mill in the Scottish Highlands for decades. Prickly Thistle has created employment for a team of 10 and is committed to a Scottish supply chain, challenging tradition every step of the way.

Formerly a qualified Chartered Accountant, having worked 13+ years in professional practice, Clare is now disrupting the iconic fabric of Scotland to play her role in safe guarding the fabric of the planet and equality for people. She believes to see change you have to be the change, don’t just talk the talk, but walk the walk: it is time for action with integrity.
