Speaker Biography

Lynn Wilson is a circular economy business consultant, award-winning academic researcher and business ethics lecturer. Originally, trained in fashion and textiles Lynn has worked on the development of products and services in diverse locations with indigenous tribes in Botswana to complex policy led systems including town planning and the circular economy in Scotland.

From 2013-2017, Lynn was the Sector Manager, Manufacturing in the pioneering Circular Economy team at Zero Waste Scotland. In 2015, Lynn was awarded a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust fellowship, to research circular economy design and technology solutions in Japan. Lynn is a Scottish Government appointed Non-Executive Director of Architecture and Design Scotland. Currently a PhD research candidate at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow funded by the Economic Social Research Council in collaboration with the Ethical Consumer Research Association. The thesis title is ‘Closing the loop. Driving a post-consumer clothing circular economy.’ Submission 2021.
