Prof Weimin Zhang is the Dean of USC-SJTU Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry (ICCI), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China. He has a BEng in materials and engineering, an MSc in metal heat treatment and a PhD in engineering, all from SJTU. Weimin served as executive deputy director of the Institute of Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering Intelligence, and deputy dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering before taking the roles of deputy director in the Human Resource Office of SJTU from 2006-2010 and director of Global Affairs Office after that.

Weimen joined USC-SJTU Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry as Dean in May 2016. His Current research focus is Creative Industry Management, Creative Industry Talent Cultivation, and Material Science and Engineering
