Robin Sloan is Senior Lecturer in Game Design, Programme Leader for Game Design and Production, and Creative Industries Research Theme Leader at Abertay University in Dundee, Scotland. Previously a game development professional, he has experience in both Game Art and Post-Production.

As an educator, Robin specialises in teaching visual design for games. This includes 3D modelling, 2D image creation, and development in game engines. At Abertay, his primary teaching role involves leading student team development projects.

Robin’s main areas of research interest are gaming nostalgia, visual design for games, and character design and development. In addition to being the Principal Investigator of InGAME International, he is also a Co-I on the main InGAME Creative Industries Cluster and is currently undertaking research on three other funded projects.
