Speaker Biography

Gabrielle Jenks is a curator and producer whose major contributions are in the converging areas of cinema, art and creative technology.

She is Digital Director at Manchester International Festival, the world’s first festival of original, new work and also at The Factory, a world class cultural space due to open in 2021. Over 15 years she has worked with numerous artists and designers in conceptualising projects. These artists include Pipilotti Rist, Laurie Anderson, Marshmallow Laser Feast and Gillian Wearing.

Previously, Gabrielle was Director of Abandon Normal Devices and sits on advisory boards for the BFI and the Venice Architecture Biennale.
