Clare Walsh is a final year PhD candidate in Web Science with the University of Southampton. Her project is sponsored by the EPSRC, with data kindly provided by MangaHigh.

Prior to studying, Clare worked as an author on a number of globally best-selling classroom coursebooks for EFL. She trained as an examiner and exam question writer, and has worked on tests reaching thousands of children. She continues to work advising national and international bodies as an educational assessment expert once or twice a month, largely in the field of complex skills assessment.

Her study looks at overcoming the challenges of assessment data analysis in a hypertext environment.
