Speaker Biography

Tateo is a creative and passionate leader focused on the human experience of the built and natural environment that shapes our world.

After an early career in violin performance and orchestra / opera conductor, Tateo spent 25 years focusing on design for arts & culture. During this time he was Partner at Artec Consultants Inc and subsequently was an Arup Director and Fellow. In these roles, he led teams around the world focused on the spaces for arts, culture and entertainment shape and support the continuing evolution of collective identity and the ongoing sustainability of communities.

Since May of 2026, Tateo is Chief Development Officer for Therme Group with overall responsibility for projects across Europe, UK, Middle East, Singapore, South Korea, Canada and the USA.

His work around the world has allowed him to appreciate both the extraordinary diversity of human experience and the common humanity that binds us all in facing very human challenges and needs.
