Speaker Biography

Nihal Arthanayake is an acclaimed broadcaster, presenter, interviewer and author, with over 25 years’ experience across radio, television and journalism.
He hosted BBC Radio 5 Live’s Afternoon Show for eight years and later fronted Headliners, a Sunday evening show featuring in-depth interviews across art, books, sport, music, film and TV. He has won _Interview of the Year _at the BBC Radio & Music Awards and has also presented the Penguin Podcast.
His extensive television credits include Celebrity MasterChef, The Wheel, Portrait Artist of the Year, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Celebrity Mastermind and The Jeremy Vine Show.
Nihal is the author of_ Let’s Talk: How to Have Better Conversations_, published by Hachette in 2022, and is a Trustee of HOME in Manchester and an Ambassador for the British Asian Trust.
