Speaker Biography

Caroline Meaby is Head of Programmes & Engagement at OKRE. She works across partnerships, creative development and industry engagement, helping to foster cross-sector collaboration in the development of entertainment.

Caroline oversees a range of initiatives including two programmes connecting climate and health research with comedy and factual entertainment TV development – ‘Laughing Matters’ & ‘Entertainment Matters’; the OKRE Summit, which brings together leading figures across the creative, research, and charity sectors; as well as professional development programmes equipping academics and experts with the skills, tools and networks to collaborate with creatives in idea development.

Caroline has had over 20 years’ experience working in and with the creative industries. After a decade in production at the BBC, she moved into heading programmes and partnerships at organisations like the Edinburgh TV Festival and British Council Arts, where she oversaw a diverse portfolio of international projects involving professionals across the arts and creative industries.
