Sally Gilford is passionate about connecting people, creativity and place. She leads projects that bring artists, communities and partners together to shape vibrant cultural experiences. Her work spans talent development, commissioning and placemaking, with a strong focus on inclusion, collaboration and amplifying community voice. Sally plays a key role in delivering Arts Council England’s Place Partnership Fund and creating opportunities for creatives across the city. She is a committed advocate for diversity and creative health, ensuring that cultural programmes are accessible, representative and transformative. With a background as a socially engaged artist and experience in co-creating with communities, she champions culture as a driver for social impact and local identity.
