Rick Shiels is a PGA-qualified golf professional, coach and content creator, and the founder of Rick Shiels Golf, the world’s most-watched online golf channel. What began as a handful of simple swing-tip videos posted from a Manchester driving range has grown into a global platform with over three million subscribers and an audience that spans equipment reviews, on-course challenges and in-depth coaching content.

Born in Bolton and introduced to golf at the age of eleven, Rick trained as a PGA professional and built his reputation as a teaching pro long before his online following. He launched his channel in 2011 to attract more coaching clients, combining his technical background with a natural on-camera presence to make technique, club technology and course strategy feel accessible for everyday players. His “entertain, inform, educate” approach now underpins not only his main channel but also The Rick Shiels Golf Show podcast, where he speaks with leading figures from across the professional and creator sides of the game.

Alongside his content, Rick has become a prominent voice on how digital media can broaden golf’s appeal by welcoming new audiences into the sport.
