Debbie Bandara is a director, choreographer, senior lecturer, and digital artist whose work explores the intersection of dance, technology, and creative health. Her practice focuses on emotional wellbeing and embodied connection, creating immersive, multi-sensory experiences that support mental and sensory regulation for diverse audiences, including those with additional needs. Integrating her background in Artificial Intelligence, motion capture, and virtual reality, Bandara’s work harnesses digital innovation to deepen empathy, communication, and social connection. She collaborates with communities to co-design accessible, emotionally intelligent environments that nurture self-expression and collective wellbeing.
