Speaker Biography

Daniel Gbolagun is a storyteller at heart, using film, photography and digital media to bring people and cultures together. Born in Nigeria and now based in Manchester, he sees creativity as a bridge between communities, experiences and perspectives.

His journey has taken him from producing grassroots projects with local artists and community groups to creating music videos, brand campaigns and short films that capture both resilience and joy. His short film Lessons was recognised with awards and celebrated for its ability to connect with audiences on an emotional level.

In 2024 Daniel became part of Channel 4’s Content Creatives, an innovative training scheme designed to support new voices in the creative industries. The programme gave him the opportunity to strengthen his skills in production and digital marketing while gaining insight into the wider creative economy.

Daniel’s work continues to evolve at the crossroads of culture, creativity and technology. With a passion for authentic storytelling and a drive to amplify underrepresented voices, he aims to inspire and influence how stories are told across today’s fast-changing media landscape.
