Speaker Biography

Bhavini Ghedia is a proud East Londoner with a background in architecture and the built environment, dedicated to creating more inclusive and accessible places. As a member of the Elevate Board – the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park’s youth co-design group – she champions the voices of young people, ensuring they feel valued and influential in shaping their communities. Bhavini leads workshops that help young people explore the built environment and recognise their agency in designing the spaces around them. As a woman of colour, she is a passionate advocate for embedding women’s safety into public and built environment design from the start. Alongside her work in placemaking and youth empowerment, she brings a creative practice spanning architecture, upcycling, textiles and community-led activations.
