Speaker Biography

Angela Chan is professor of creative industries with CoSTAR National Lab at Royal Holloway University of London. Her current research focuses on the impact of emerging technologies on sensory sensitivity and neurodivergence. She holds a PhD in inclusive innovation and creative clusters.

Angela previously worked in the UK television industry for twenty years as a documentary director and commissioning editor. Most recently she was Head of Creative Diversity at C4. Prior to this she worked at the BBC as Independents Executive leading their supply strategy and specialising in unlocking the potential of small creative businesses from under-represented groups.

She is currently chair of the Sir Lenny Henry Centre for Media diversity and has held advisory board positions with the British Council and Natwest.
