Speaker Biography

Joanne started her career as a tech journalist and television director/producer. She co-founded one of the UK’s most innovative digital production companies, pioneering interactive services for UK cultural institutions, education providers and broadcasters and subsequently moved into venture capital, managing investment and support for early stage creative and digital businesses in London, Liverpool and Manchester.
AXM Venture Capital manages the Liverpool City Region Seed Fund for Liverpool City Region Combined Authority. The Fund invests in businesses in LCR’s priority sectors which include creative and digital.
