Transforming Empathy Training Through Immersive Audio Simulation

SIMFONIK is a mobile-based immersive audio platform that trains empathy and compassionate communication through embodied, lived-experience storytelling.

Using bone-conduction headphones and guided paired roleplay, SIMFONIK places participants inside the emotional and relational perspective of another person– supporting deeper understanding, improved listening, and more compassionate response in real-world practice.

Developed with clinicians, researchers, and people with lived experience of mental health services, SIMFONIK offers an accessible, scalable training alternative to VR and high-cost simulation suites. The platform is currently being piloted across healthcare training, universities, and community practice.
