Speaker Biography

As Managing Director, YouTube UK & Ireland, Alison is responsible for working with Government & Policy Makers and partnering with broadcasters, producers, creators, brands and the music industry to provide British content and talent a platform to thrive.

Alison has spent her career at the intersection of technology and creativity, both in the public sector working with Government departments including MI5 and Foreign office and in advertising agencies before joining Google in 2011 where she led various commercial & creative teams and in January 2023 became Managing Director of YouTube, UK & Ireland.

Inside and outside of YouTube, she is a diversity champion, a member of WACL (Women in Advertising & Communications, Leadership) and passionate about the acceleration of women’s football. As a Trustee for her local grassroots club, Berkhamsted Raiders (2019-2023), she secured funding to train women and girls as managers, coaches and referees and doubled the numbers of players to become the largest UK girls club.
