Darren has expertise spanning Computer Vision, Computer Graphics and AI and is interested in any problem involving understanding and modelling data.

He is currently the director of the Centre for the Analysis of Motion, Entertainment Research and Applications (CAMERA), a research centre applying computer vision and graphics, HCI and machine learning across sport, biomechanics and the creative industries. Partners here have ranged from the NHS and Ministry of Defence to BBC, Aardman, The Imaginarium and the Welsh National Opera.
