Speaker Biography

Sara is Co-Director of the Creative Economy Unit at Cardiff University. She has three main leadership roles: Director of creative city network Creative Cardiff, Chief Operating Officer of Clwstwr a £9 million R&D project promoting innovation in the Welsh economy and Deputy Director of the £50 million UKRI Strength in Places funded media.cymru. Her role is to provide leadership and strategic direction to these initiatives and to work with a wide variety of stakeholders including academic, industry and government partners. Sara is passionate about championing & developing creative talent and ideas and brokering partnerships that enable individuals and organisations to realise their full creative and commercial potential. Previously Sara has held a variety of posts from producer to project manager for organisations such as the Southbank Centre, the Wales Millennium Centre, the Riverfront Theatre, Hull University School of Arts & New Media & the Sydney Olympic Games 2000.
