Community Memories Documentation and Experience in Localities - The Physical and Digital Interfaces

Efstathia Kostopoulou is an architect from Greece. Her work spans across urban design and heritage to media architecture and the publics. She is currently a Doctoral Researcher at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. Her research looks into affective digital and physical experiences that relate public spaces to local memory and culture. Her recent work has been presented in Media Architecture Biennale 2018 , EVA Berlin 2018 (Rethinking the Urban Memorial) and published in Behaviour & Information Technology journal 2019.

This poster focuses on the creation of a digital commemoration experience, an ephemeral digital layer via the digital outdoor projection of relevant archival material which annotates a physical memorial with related content in Bethnal Green, in East London.
