Speaker Biography
Jay Taylor is English National Coordinator for the Music Venue Trust, a UK registered charity established in 2014 that acts to protect, secure and improve the UK’s Grassroots Music Venue circuit.
Jay is co-chair of the Greater Manchester Music Commission, whose role is to support, develop and promote music across Greater Manchester and advise GM Mayor Andy Burnham. Jay also sits on the Greater Manchester Night Time Panel and the Manchester Music City steering group.
His radio series ‘Adventures in Grassroots Music’ can be heard monthly on Slack City Radio, and his Open Door music and spoken word sessions are weekly at Nook in Stockport.
