Speaker Biography

Greg Mothersdale will be hosting the Media Cymru: Greening the Screen panel.

Greg is a Producer for Media Cymru (UKRI Strength in Places programme) who’s work focusses mainly on environmental sustainability and virtual production. This work has developed from his earlier role on the Clwstwr programme (AHRC Creative Industries Clusters programme). He is employed by Cardiff University.

Greg led on securing the BFI-funded BAFTA Albert Screen New Deal Transformation for Wales pilot, partners are the BFI, BAFTA Albert, ARUP, Creative Wales and Ffilm Cymru Wales.

Greg is also a Co-Investigator on XR+ Network Virtual Production in the Digital Economy, a project funded by ESPRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council).

Prior to Media Cymru, Greg worked in the media industry for more than 20 years across multiple specialisms including film and TV production, studios, festival and events.
