Speaker Biography
James is Head of Corporate Policy for Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange at the University of Huddersfield. He is responsible for providing strategic insights and intelligence relating to the development of the University’s areas of specialist research interests and the development of strategic research partnerships between industry and academia.
James has over 30 years of experience in regional and local government working in economic development. He has worked closely with regional industry throughout his career and has built a substantial pool of knowledge and network with regional industry.
James has considerable experience of building both local and international, cross disciplinary partnerships and consortia, working on sustainable and global challenges.
