Speaker Biography

Jack Hardiker is an interdisciplinary artist, researcher and educator. He works with both established and emergent creative techniques to tell important stories in playful, memorable, and unexpected ways. Jack’s work has received considerable project funding alongside various accolades including the Media Architecture Biennale and the Lumen Prize. He was recently awarded a DYCP grant to develop his research in XR performance.

Jack founded the collaborative arts and technology studio ‘Office of Everyone’, which seeks to improve participation in the arts and culture through the use of creative technologies. The studio has recently been working with theatre and performance makers, developing work that incorporates augmented reality, projection, kinetic installation, binaural sound and bone conduction.

Jack holds a Tutor (Research) position at the Royal College of Art, supporting a diverse group of UK and international students. The Digital Direction MA examines the emergence of new technologies for telling stories, alongside the future of inclusive storytelling itself.
