Speaker Biography

Gethin is Artistic Director of Frân Wen – a Welsh language theatre company creating multi-disciplinary live experiences that elevate the voices of young people in contemporary Wales. Working with communities over long periods of time, their work brings together participatory and professional arts practice, movement, bi-lingual text and music. Fran Wen are a founding partner of Collective Cymru and Gethin was Artistic Director (Live) for GALWAD.
Gethin’s portfolio includes touring theatre, site-specific performance and large-scale multi site projects.
Gethin was previously Project Associate/Assistant Director on the Public Acts programme at The National Theatre and Associate Director at Sherman Theatre. In 2011, Gethin co-founded Cwmni Pluen, which produced the acclaimed Mags at Sherman Theatre
