Speaker Biography

Across her career Andrea Miller has produced numerous arts documentaries such as Grierson winner David Hockney’s Secret Knowledge; Sir Richard Eyre’s Changing Stages for BBC and PBS Network; Peter Ackroyd’s Dickens; Van Gogh: Painted in Words with Benedict Cumberbatch (Best Arts Documentary Banff TV Festival) and The Strange Case of Arthur Conan Doyle starring Douglas Henshall and Emily Blunt.

As Head of Factual at BBC Scotland she led a team of 200 delivering 120 hours of science, documentary, and arts programming. She recruited, trained, and mentored creatives new to network production, attracting major onscreen talent and the department’s output won international recognition and awards

After graduating London Business School’s Executive MBA Andrea left the BBC and co-founded her own independent production company in co-development with ITV Studios’ So Television, winning peak time factual series. She has recently produced and directed her first short film, “The Surreal Life” for VP Futures.
