Speaker Biography<\/h3>

Ian Thomas is the Head of Arts Research and Insights at the British Council, leading the British Council\u2019s global arts evidence, insights, and learning work across its global arts programs. <\/p>\n

A previous International Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Public Diplomacy at the University of Southern California and member of previous UK Cities of Culture Evaluation advisory groups. Ian has spoken internationally and published a number of articles on the role of culture across sustainable development and has worked in previous roles at Arts Council England and Telford and Wrekin Council. <\/p>\n

Ian is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, member of the Board of Cultural Learning Alliance, Chair of the Liverpool City Region Music Hub and a graduate of Durham University and Liverpool University.<\/p>
