{"id":36171,"date":"2024-01-17T16:19:50","date_gmt":"2024-01-17T16:19:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/beyondconference.org\/?page_id=36171"},"modified":"2024-01-17T16:19:50","modified_gmt":"2024-01-17T16:19:50","slug":"spectral-transmissions-time-out-of-joint","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/beyondconference.org\/b23\/showcase\/spectral-transmissions-time-out-of-joint\/","title":{"rendered":"Spectral Transmissions: Time out of Joint"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"hero\" style=\"background-image: url(\/wp-content\/uploads\/cet-2023\/06_Osxz1Aa.original.2e16d0ba.fill-829x585.jpg)\"><h1>Spectral Transmissions: Time out of Joint<\/h1><\/div><div class=\"cepBody\"><div class=\"cepGridParent\"><div class=\"cepColumns\"><div class=\"col3-4\"><h3>Moving image montage of audio visual installations developed by the Spectral Transmissions Research Unit, an immersive heritage interpretation project conducted in collaboration with the National Trust at Hatchlands Park, Surrey.\n<\/h3><p><p>In October 2023 timed to coincide with the celtic festival of Samhain a liminal threshold, where and when the boundary between this world and others is believed to become blurred Hatchlands Park NT in Surrey played host to \u201cTime out of Joint\u201d the latest in a series of hybrid audio visual installations that seek to invert the established notions of augmented reality as a digital phenomena that seems to alter reality on its own terms within its confines, but as yet struggles to reach out and inhabit the world beyond the limits of it\u2019s screens. <\/p>\n<p>What is happening  here is something immersive and entangled. A hybrid collage of 21st century imaging technology and Victorian stage craft presents an immersive and  haunted experience of a stately home in which time and space merge and slip.
