He is leading a research team around circular and sustainable industrial systems. His research interests focus on industrial symbiosis, waste reuse, environmental impact assessment, Life Cycle Assessment, and process modelling and simulation. He is currently the Principal Investigator from the University of Huddersfield for two EU-funded H2020 projects, with emphasis on wastewater reuse and real time Life Cycle Assessment with the use of Digital Twins.
