Speaker Biography
Joanne Evans is Creative Industries Impact and Partnership Development Manager at the University of Exeter.
Joanne started her career as a television director/producer, producing and exec-producing hundreds of hours of television. She co-founded one of the UK’s most innovative and successful digital production companies, pioneering interactive services for UK cultural institutions, education providers and media organisations and spent 10 years in venture capital, managing investment and support for start up and early stage creative, digital and media businesses in London, Liverpool and Manchester. Joanne joined the University of Exeter a year go to help develop its strategy to support the creative industries as an anchor institution in the South West, and nationally.
