Speaker Biography

Jack is a cultural and economic geographer whose research centres upon the interaction between creative industries and place-based economic policy.

He is currently working as a Research Associate at the Creative Economies Lab, part of UWE’s Digital Cultures Research Centre, where he plays a central role in researching and evaluating the Bristol+Bath Creative R+D programme and the Grounding Technologies programme.

In tandem with his academic research, he is a designer of games and interactive narrative experiences. His creative practice explores how people engage with place through playful, site-specific, experimental and/or immersive media forms.
