Speaker Biography
Fiona has worked at the nexus of innovation, technology, and the creative industries for over 25 years, working primarily in government funded innovation and R&D programmes in the creative and screen industries. She founded Immerse UK, the UKs immersive technology network in 2016 and Co-Founded the XR in Healthcare Alliance in 2021. She is currently Chair of Eirmersive, the voice of the immersive sector in Ireland and member of numerous UK industry advisory groups. She has multiple led industry ecosystem reports such as the UK Immersive Economy Reports 2019 and 2020 (Immerse UK), VP Skills in the UK 2021 (SFA) and XR in Healthcare in the UK 2021 (UKRI, NHSX, HEE & XRHA). Fiona was recently Acting Head of Immersive at Story Futures Academy at the National Film and Television School with Royal Holloway and continues to Exec Produce programmes in XR and Virtual Production at SFA, she is currently Co-Director at XRHA, a Senior Industry Advisor to Skillnet Ireland and Irish Screen and strategic consultant across multiple programmes in the UKs immersive technology sector.
